Born in Colorado in 1970, artist Ron Kempton is known for his large-scale abstract paintings. He is primarily self-taught, having been creating art since his early teens.

Kempton’s large, action-filled acrylic canvases feature pure, rich colors set against more subdued yet equally intense backgrounds. This contrast in design often creates the illusion of light glowing deep from within the painting’s surface.

A master of mixed media, the artist’s work spans a wide range, from intricate pen and ink drawings on hand-stained paper to colorful abstract canvases to breathtakingly photo-realistic paintings.

Ron occasionally creates under the pseudonym David Jackson; allowing him to experiment with new mediums and creative artistic styles.
